I'm a social psychologist who studies how behavioral science is conducted online. That means how researchers collect data, what threatens data quality, and how to conduct better research. I work as a Senior Research Scientist at CloudResearch, where I've recently written a textbook with Cambridge University Press focused on modern methods in behavioral research.
I teach psychology in the Albany, NY area. This fall I'm especially excited to teach a course on Scientific Communication.
Before joining CloudResearch, I was a graduate student at Tulane University where I studied prejudice and how people think about discrimination.
Two fun facts about me:
I graduated from one of the smallest public high schools in the state of Indiana. My class was 41 people.
I've listened to every episode of Marketplace since the summer of 2018—about 2,000 shows! I'm a regular "investor" and I love the mix of business news, economics, and behavioral science.
If you're looking for someone to give a talk about online research, join a class to talk about careers outside of academia, or give a guest lecture, feel free to reach out.
